The seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me:
Seven swans a swimming, six geese a laying, five golden rings, four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree.
Swan babies are cygnets. Swans are of the family anatidae within the genus Cygnus. Cygnus is the Greek word for swan and the name of a northern constellation. Look for it sometime. It is easy to find in summer and autumn and resembles a big bird.
